This morning on the news they said September would go down in the books as one of the driest and maybe the hottest for September. I believe them you can tell when someone is mowing their yard all you will see is a cloud of dust. I must say my mums are beautiful, I have watered them twice a day. My yard is half brown in spots and green in others looks terrible. I do wish it would rain I want the leaves to turn the pretty colors. We also need the cooler weather to come as soon as possible.
Homecoming made me think of my first homecoming. I attended the football game with my friend, Robbin Walls. We were so excited to be there as we were of the freshman class. We really wanted to attend the dance but we were told no by our parents. We even had a chaperone but the answer was still no. We were disappointed but still happy we attended the game. Later on in the months to come we attended many dances. We always had a good time and we are still best friends today. Best friends are hard to come by cherish the ones you have, it’s good to share memories with a friend.
This past weekend I attended the Women of Joy Conference with the ladies from New Home Missionary Baptist Church and the ladies from Dowelltown Baptist Church. We had a great time, heard some great speakers and music. We were able to talk and enjoy each other’s company. We stayed in a beautiful 3 story cabin which was nice. But I must say I really didn’t see any more leaves changing color than here in DeKalb County. All in all a great time learning and praising the Lord.

Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, that in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven. Matthew 18:10
