On Sunday, March 3, at 5 p.m., the youth of First Assembly of God, located at 1650 Cookeville Highway, will present their talents before the congregation and guest judges to simulate the upcoming state Fine Arts Festival competition at Trevecca University in Nashville on March 8 and 9.
The teens are competing in the following events: Large Drama Ensemble, Solo Drama, Large Human Video Ensemble, Group and Solo Puppetry, Unconventional Percussion, Worship Dance Troupe and Solo Dance, Male and Female Vocal, Urban Solo, Poetry, Digital Photography, and Two Dimensional Visual Arts.
There are 15 youth participating and you can see them all perform at this special service. You don't want to miss this group of talented teens including Kristena Bain, Elliott Cook, Caelin Crips, Josh Emberton, Caleb Gash, Katie Haggard, Devon Hickey, Chelsea Lewis, Ale Maciel, Elizabeth Mason, William Melton, Jade Nokes, Tavian Nokes, Daniel Stanley and Jordon Wilkins.
Food will be available after service as a fund raiser to help cover the expenses to the state event.
Also Youth Alive will be held again this Thursday night at 7 p.m. The youth band from First Baptist will be providing the music and a special presentation by the First Assembly Drama Team will be a highlight of the event. A powerful message by Youth Pastor Iain Swisher will conclude the evening.
