Albert Gore Adcock, age 82, passed away at his residence in Smithville on Thursday February 23, 2023.
Mr. Adcock was a member of Keltonburg Church of Christ and worked as a self-employed carpenter.
He was born April 11, 1940, to his parents the late James Otis and Bessie Lue Young Adcock. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Adcock; son, Davy Adcock; brothers, Jewel Adcock, Manuel Adcock, James Adcock, Franklin Adcock, and Ray Adcock; sisters, Irene Turner and Katie Adcock.
He is survived by daughter, Emma (Eugene) Adkins of Smithville; granddaughter, Ellie Anne Adkins; one brother, Mitchell (Imogene) Adcock of Smithville; brothers-in-law, Eddie (Carol) Green of Smithville, John (Judie) Green of Sparta, Jack Green of Smithville, and James (Ginny) Green of Columbia; sisters-in-law, Sarah Adcock of Bradyville and Joyce Carman of Louisville, KY; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral service was held Sunday, February 26, 2023, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Eugene Adkins officiating. Burial followed in the Corinth Cemetery.
Pallbearers included Justin Adcock, Kennie Adcock, Nick Wright, Shannon Adcock, Johnny Adcock and Rodney Scoggin.
In addition to flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Fund in memory of Mr. Adcock.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of arrangements.
