Alice Beatrice Anderson, 79, of Alexandria died Thursday at Alive Hospice in Nashville.

She was a homemaker, member of the Mt Zion Baptist Church, and a member of the Red Hat Society and FCE Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carsie Floyd Craighead and Annie Mai Brewington; her husband of 59 years James Arlin Anderson; brothers, Floyd Craighead, Jr. Craighead, and Johnny Craighead; and a sister, Patricia Holland.

She is survived by children, Debra and Ray Meadows of Charlotte, Tim and Beverly Anderson of Smyrna, and Robin and David Ligon of Fairview. Eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and a sister, Marie Adams.

Funeral service was held Tuesday, Nov. 3 from the Chapel of Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. Jared Randolph officiated and burial followed in the Harpeth Hills Cemetery.

The family has requested that donations be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Anderson Funeral Home, Alexandria is in charge of the arrangements.
