Aline D. McDonald,79, went home to be with the Lord June 7. A native of Smithville, she was the daughter of the late Grant and Ulisha Goodwin Dirting.
She is also preceded in death by her brothers, James Elmer and B.W. Dirting and her sister, Lillian Dirting Arnold. 
Funeral services were held Friday at 1pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Jimmy House officiated with burial following in DeKalb Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. McDonald is survived by her husband, Eld. Don H. McDonald; nieces, Donna Kay (Danny) Damron, Kendra (Jeremy) Krach, Madison Krach, Lorene Zaker, Diane Johnson, and Debbie Carnago; nephews, Xavier Krach, Xander Krach, Keith Damron, Jessi Damron, Victor Carnago and Noah Johnson; and her sister-in-law, Johnnie G. (Curtis) Hall. 
Mrs. McDonald was saved as a teenager in Smithville and was a member of Knob Springs Missionary Baptist Church.
Jeff Winfrey, Gordon Winfrey, Bobby Winfrey, Wayne Gregory, Keith Damron and Jesse Damron served as pallbearers.
