Funeral services for Amon David France, 93, of Smithville, were held July 14 at the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. Virgil Hibdon Jr. and Bro. Garry McBride officiated with burial following in DeKalb Memorial Gardens with full military honors.   
Mr. France passed away July 12 at DeKalb Community Hospital. He was an U.S. Army veteran of World War II, an air conditioner maintenance worker for ARO and of the Baptist faith.   
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lola France; parents, Daniel and Lou Della France; two brothers, Audie France and Alvie France; and a nephew, Billy France. 
Survivors include a sister, Ophylnn and Leffel Redmon of Smithville; a brother, Erby France of Smithville; nieces and nephews, Sonia and Kenneth Vinson of Cloverport, Tenn.; Tawana and Randall Box of Brentwood; Danny and Debbie France of Dowelltown; Tim France, Earl and Emaline France, all of Smithville; Barbara and Charles Young of McMinnville; Marilyn and Larry Wilbourn of Soddy Daisy; and special caregiver, Debbie West.
Serving as pallbearers were Casey France, Bobby Dennis, Clyde Sullivan, Ken Vinson, Don West, Tim France, Leffel Redmon and Larry Stubblefield.
Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
