Funeral services for Ronnie "Duck" Anderson, 61, of Smithville were held Dec. 24 at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. Shannon Cantrell officiated, with burial following in Precious Memories Cemetery.

 

He passed away Dec. 21 at Vanderbilt Medical Center.

 

He worked for the DeKalb Utility District and was a Baptist.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; Robert and Hallie Goines Anderson; a sister, Deborah Kay Bilbrey; a brother, Robert E. Anderson.

 

He is survived by his wife, Debra Anderson of Smithville, three children, Amanda Anderson Edwards, Crystal Anderson and Matthew Baker, Beverly Anderson all of Smithville; five grandchildren, Brittney and Ronnie Edwards, Kyra Baker, Dalton Howell, and Elizabeth Gaines all of Smithville; two brothers, Lloyd Anderson and Danny Anderson of Smithville; three sisters, Darlene Bogle and Arnold Conley of Smithville, Gail and Jimmy Phillips of Monterey, and Cheryl and Barry Trapp of Smithville; several nieces and nephews also survive; caregiver, Debbie Herman Inglis and Staff of Suncrest Healthcare.

 

Pallbearers included; Barry Trapp, Jimmy Phillips, Arnold Conley, Matt Baker, Bill Stewart, Drew Caldwell, Homer Hodges, and Eric Bogle.

 

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville was in charge of the arrangements
