Bernard Kocis, 90, of Rock Island died Tuesday at his residence.

He was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church and was retired from Burrells.

The funeral was held Thursday, May 26 at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home.

Father Kevin Dowling officiated with burial following in the Peeled Chestnut Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Hutchings Kocis. Survivors include two special nieces, Tyra Rodgers of Crossville and Angie Stafford of Knoxville. Three special great nieces, Taylor, Megan, and Ashlee Rodgers all of Sparta.

Pallbearers; Michael Scott, Clem Rodgers, Angie Stafford, Tyra Rodgers, John Stewart, and Chad Kirby.

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville was in charge of the arrangements.
