Beverly Jean Venske, age 86, of Smithville, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville.

 

Mrs. Venske was born March 8, 1930 to her parents the late Arthur and Rosetta Harris Pulda.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Andrew Elliott; three brothers, Otto, Frederick and Arthur; three sisters, Rosetta, Katherine and Eleanor.

 

Beverly was a Lutheran, she worked several years as a telephone operator then worked and retired from Timers, after retiring she was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing and spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

 

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Donald Venske of Smithville; three children, Michelle (Mark) Elliott of Murfreesboro, Jeanine (Shannon B.) Cantrell of Smithville, and Mike (Heather) Robinson of California; eight grandchildren, Stephen Elliott, Bri (Nick) Cole, Chase (Micaela) Cantrell, Alyssa Koch, Macey Cantrell, Keith Elliott, Holly Robinson, and Michael Robinson; five great-grandchildren, Macey Robinson, Caraline Cole, Aila Odom, Ashtyn Odom and Isabelle Cole; two special nieces, Theresa Argall and Marcia Peller.

 

Funeral service were conducted Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel.

 

Rev. Martin Nutter officiated and internment followed in DeKalb Memorial Gardens.

 

Pallbearers included; Chase Cantrell, Stephen Elliott, Keith Elliott, Nick Blanton, Nick Cole, and Grant Goodwin.

 

Honorary Pallbearers; Shannon Cantrell and Mark Elliott.

 

In addition to flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, in memory of Mrs. Venske.

 

 

 

DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville were in charge of the arrangements.
