Clausser

Billie Ann Clausser, age 81, of Cumberland, MD, formerly of Hurlock, died Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center in Cumberland.

Born February 12, 1937 in Smithville, she was the daughter of the late Brown West and Jessie Bing Smith and adopted and raised by Aubrey Boyd Smith.

She married Andrew E. “Sonny” Clausser on July 13, 1956 and retired as an executive secretary from National Institute of Health.   She loved to watch television, read books and tend to her flower gardens.

She is survived by a sister, Judy S. Harden and husband Robert of Frostburg and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter Elizabeth Diane Grauel and her son-in-law, Timothy Grauel.

Funeral service was held on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Zeller Funeral Home in East New Market with Rev. Delmer Willey officiating.  Interment followed in East New Market Cemetery.

Zeller Funeral Home, East New Market, MD, was in charge of the arrangements.
