Funeral services for Billy D. Hale, 81, of Smithville were held Jan. 26 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel.  Bro. Tim Pelham officiated, with burial following at Salem Cemetery.
Mr. Hale passed away Jan. 23 at Webb House Retirement Center in Smithville.
He was a member of Cave Springs Missionary Baptist Church and attended Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, a brick mason and served in the Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Mary Hale; his wife, Bobbie Stacy Hale; brothers, Ray, Reed, and Elmer Hale; sisters, Ethel Mae Gilley and Callie Mathis.
He is survived by his daughters, Kathy (Bill) Nokes of Pea Ridge, and Debora (Elvis) Pedigo of Smithville; grandchildren, Wesley (Samantha) Nokes of Smithville, Corey (Rebecca) Pedigo of Huntsville, Alabama, Natasha Nokes of Bradyville; great-grandchild, Lakelynn Anderson of Bradyville; sister-in-law. Jean Newbell of Lebanon; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Pallbearers included; Donald Bandy, Elvis Pedigo, Wesley Nokes, Corey Pedigo, Sean Brelje and Andy Brelje.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of arrangements.
