Cantrell
Mr. Billy G. Cantrell, age 76, of the Belk Community of DeKalb County, passed away Sunday morning, March 11, 2018 at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital ER.
He was born August 25, 1941 to his parents, the late Horace and Euna Young Cantrell.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 13 brothers and sisters, Effie Head, Jeffie Humphrey, Ressie Taylor, Ruth Binkley, Fate, Arlie, James, Leslie, Horace Jr., Doris, Gentry, Charlie and Elzie Cantrell.
Billy was a member of the Mt. Hope The Baptist Church and attended the New Union The Baptist Church and retired from Federal Mogul.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Linda Graham Cantrell of Smithville; three children, Bobby Cantrell of Smithville, Donna (Phillip) Summerford of Smithville and Darryl (Rachel) Cantrell of Smithville; five grandchildren, Hope, Hailey, Hannah, Mari and Ethan Cantrell; one sister, Ethel Redmon of McMinnville; one brother, Dennie Cantrell of McMinnville; three sisters-in-law, Maureen Cantrell, Jean Cantrell and Helen Whitman all of Smithville; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bros. Phillip Summerford and Michael Hale officiating. Burial followed in New Union Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Steve Cantrell, Lonnie Cantrell, Ronnie Cantrell, Mark Arvisais, Darryl Cantrell, and Bobby Cantrell.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was \in charge of the arrangements.
