Funeral services Jacob Morgan "J.M." Bratcher, 80, of Woodbury were held June 12 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bro. Rannie Phillips officiated, with burial following in Gunter-Grizzle Cemetery with Military Honors.

 

He passed away June 9 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro.

 

He was born June 5, 1935 to the late V.E. and Ila Oakley Campbell Bratcher.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey Bratcher; two brothers, Donald Bratcher, and Jerry Bratcher; one sister, Wanda Brown.

 

He was a retired construction worker, attended the Blues Hill Church of Christ and was a U.S. Army Veteran.

 

J.M. is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jonell Bratcher of Woodbury; three sons, Barry (Regina) Bratcher of Freystade , Germany, Jason and Joel Bratcher both of Woodbury; three grandchildren, Aaron, Jacob and Vanessa Bratcher; half-brother, Barton (Phyllis) Todd of McMinnville; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

 

Pallbearers included; Wayne Woods, Jeff Keaton, Ronnie Smith, Aaron Bratcher, Jacob Bratcher, and Doug Pursell.

 

DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville was in charge of the arrangements
