Funeral services for Brenda Joyce Taylor, 61, of Smithville, were held July 25 at the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. Tommy Taylor officiated with burial following in DeKalb Memorial Gardens.   
Mrs. Taylor passed away July 22 at NHC of Smithville. She was a retired machine operator at Timers.   
She was preceded in death by her parents, Junior Matthews and Betty Frances Murphy; a son, Jerry Wayne Taylor; three sisters; and a brother. 
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Grady Lee Taylor of Smithville; three daughters, Melinda and Bobby Hullett, Janie and Adam Hale and Vickey and Freddy Atnip, all of Smithville; four sons, Ronnie Taylor and Stacy Brasswell of Smithville, Billy and Kim Neal of McMinnville, Jimmy and Romanda Taylor of Smithville and Timmy Taylor of Smithville; 19 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; six brothers, James and Darlene Matthews of Gassaway, William and Rita Matthews, Willie Matthews, Roy and Debbie Matthews, Randall Neal, Doug and Norma Murphy, all of Smithville; and three sisters, Helen and Randall Ervin of Smithville, Pamela Hooten and partner, Kevin Cain of North Carolina, Kathy Murphy and partner, Ruben Vega of Morrison.
Serving as pallbearers were James, William, Willie and Roy Matthews, Randall Neal and Doug Murphy.
Ronnie Taylor, Bobby Hullett, Jimmy Taylor and Billie Neal served as honorary pallbearers.
Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
