Funeral services for Brent Wilson Reed, 55, of Smithville, were held May 27 at the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Sister Frances Foster officiated with burial following in DeKalb Memorial Gardens.   
Mr. Reed passed away May 24 at DeKalb Community Hospital. He was a press operator at Federal Mogul. 
Survivors include his wife, Paulette Reed; parents, Jack and Sara Reed; a son, Brent Jr. and Heather Reed; a daughter, Virginia Reed; and a step-son, Christopher Daniels, all of Smithville; three brothers, Bart and Glenda Reed of Georgia, Brian and Phyllis Reed and Barry and Angie Reed, all of Smithville; a sister, Margaret and Doyle Curtis of Smithville; and 12 grandchildren.
Pallbearers included Chris Daniels, Robert Melton, Josh Reed, Royce Curtis, Joe Nokes and Derrick Cook.
Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
