Brian Dale Finchum, age 61, of Murfreesboro passed away Monday afternoon, September 24, 2018 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro after a long hard struggle with Prostate and Bone Cancer.
Brian worked for many years in the trucking industry as a semi driver, which he loved. His most recent and long-time service was with B&M Trucking in Gallatin, they became his second family. He was a 1975 graduate of William A Wirt High School.
He was born November 24, 1956 in Gary, Indiana to his parents, Joy Blake Finchum and the late of Claude Ray Finchum.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Kimberly Joy Finchum; grandparents, Lloyd and Bettie Blake and Lon and Lula Finchum and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins
He is survived by his wife, Billie Doylene Caplinger Finchum of Murfreesboro; son, Jason Finchum of Portage, Ind.; mother, Joy (James) Conn of Portage, Ind.; brothers, Garry (Dionn) Finchum of Lake Station, Ind., Michael Finchum of Crown Point, Ind.; two nieces, Lacey Finchum and Brittaney Joy Ray; brother-in-law, Charles (Rhonda) Caplinger of Smithville and many friends he has made throughout the years and his furry son and best friend Jersey.
Funeral service was conducted Thursday, September 27, 2018 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel and burial followed in DeKalb Memorial Gardens.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
