Brien A. Ellis, 82 of Smithville, loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away March 26 at St Thomas DeKalb Hospital after a brief illness. Brien was born in England on June 4, 1935 and was raised in Wales until the age of 14 when he entered the British Royal Navy. He earned a degree in mechanical engineering and worked in England at what was known then as Nuturn (Federal Mogul).
