Brittney Danielle Barnes, age 33, of Smithville passed away Monday July 12, 2021 in Smithville. 

 She was born February 9, 1988 to her parents, Marvin Eric Barnes and the late Tonya Elaine Bittner Caldwell. 

 She was a retail sales clerk and a Christian. 

 In addition to her mother, she was also preceded in death by grandparents, Evan Bittner and Jan Bittner Anderson; and uncle, Tyler Bittner. 

 Survivors include father: Eric Barnes of Smithville; two children, Brooklyn Barnes and Brinson Barnes both of Smithville; half-brother, Cole Barnes (Molly Lemoine) of Murfreesboro; grandparents, Brownie and Peggy Barnes of Smithville; uncles, Darrin (Cheryl) Barnes, and Jeff Barnes both of Smithville; cousins, Brandon (Crystal) Barnes, and Blake Barnes.

 Funeral service was held Friday, July 16, 2021 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating. Burial followed in New Union Cemetery. 

 Serving as pallbearers were Ethan Ray, Yuman Barnes, Jeff Barnes, Darrin Barnes, Cole Barnes, and Blake Barnes.

 Family ask that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses.    

 DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
