David Alan Brown, 51, passed away on July 29 at his residence in Murfreesboro.

 

David was born on April 12, 1964, in Smithville. He was the son of Floyd L. Brown, Jr. and Jean Murphy Brown.

 

David was very devoted to his daughter, Danielle. He loved attending her Theatrical and Strings Orchestra performances. Her music was a lifeline to his heart and he would listen to her music as long as she would play for him. Danielle was his sunshine. Over the past few years, David become a Harley Davidson enthusiast, with his bike rides offering him the freedom of spirit and peace.

 

David is survived by his wife, Tristina Brown of Murfreesboro; daughter, Danielle Brown; step-son, Scott Walkup; his father, Floyd L. Brown, Jr. and his wife, Jeanette Brown; his brother, Jeff Brown and wife, Frieda and Charles Brown; the mother of his child, Leigh Anne Ganues Brown; Melissa Klimas, Marcy and husband, Kyle Ozick, and many other family members, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 

A Memorial Service was held at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Murfreesboro on Aug. 1 in the sanctuary. The Rev. Randall Ganues officiated.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his daughter’s educational fund at any 1st Tennessee Bank in Middle Tennessee, (Ref: Leigh Anne Brown). May mail to Daniel Brown Educational Fund at Franklin 1st Tennessee Bank, PO Box 100, Franklin, TN 37065-0100 or to St. Marks United Methodist Church, 1267 North Rutherford Boulevard, Murfreesboro, TN 37130, for the Babyfold at Old Mutare Fairfield Children’s Home in Zimbabwe.
