Funeral Service for Brownie Jean Curtis 85, of Smithville were held Sunday, March 6, 2016 at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home.

Bro. Bill Robertson officiated with burial following at Whorton Springs Cemetery.

She passed away Thursday, March 3 at NHC Healthcare of Smithville.

She was a member of Elizabeth Chapel Baptist Church since 1952. She was a former Registrar with the DeKalb County Election Commission.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Vada Hayes Hendrixson; husband, Will Royce Curtis; sister, Mattie Jo McGinnis.

She is survived by her daughter, Jeana and Mike Johnson; two grandsons, Ben Johnson, Nathan (Danna) Johnson; two great-grandsons, Michael and Alex Johnson all of Lebanon; one sister, Georgia and Thomas Cripps of Alexandria.

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville were in charge of the arrangements.
