Funeral services for Bruce Caldwell, 82, of Smithville were held Jan. 25 at Smithville First Assembly of God.

 

Bro. Donnie Kelly officiated, with burial following in Whorton Springs Cemetery.

 

He passed away Jan. 23 at the ER of DeKalb Community Hospital.

 

He was a retired repairman for General Motors, and a member of Smithville First Assembly of God.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lena Ferrell Caldwell; five brothers, Lonnie, JW, Wade, Norman and Raymond Caldwell; two sisters, Nannie Mae Hale and Lois Moon.

 

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Roxie Reeder Caldwell of Smithville; one daughter, Lesa Hale of Smithville; three grandchildren, Zachary Hale and Destin of Mississippi, Devin Hale and Christi of Murfreesboro, and Quentin Hale of Smithville; one brother, Zeb Caldwell of Smithville; two sisters, Flonnie Vanatta and Dorothy Miller both of Smithville; two sisters – in- law, Marilyn Caldwell of Smithville and Henri Reeder of Smithville.

 

Pallbearers included; Hoyte, Zackary, Devin, and Quentin Hale, Randall Phillips, and Shields Reeder Jr.

 

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville was in charge of the arrangements
