Carlon Lee Mabe, age 77, of Smithville passed away Monday, September 4, 2023 at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital ER.
Carlon was of the Baptist Faith and worked at Wolf Camera, Dekalb and Tennessee Telephone Company and sold Real Estate.
He was born June 4, 1946 to his parents, Aaron Louis and Betty Pack Mabe. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers, Dexter, Jewel, Jerry Wayne and Louis Mabe; three sisters, Louise Cantrell, Pauline Billings and Roeina Mabe.
He is survived by wife, Jeanette Mabe of Smithville; daughter, Tressa Lee Parker of Murfreesboro; sister, Linda (Gene) Jones of Sparta; sisters-in-law, Marie Mabe of McMinnville and Hilda (Richard) Crass of Manchester; brothers-in-law, Stacey (Lynn) Adcock, Johnny (Lynn) Adcock, and Kennie (Melissa) Adcock all of Smithville; grandchildren, Jessica Parker, Allen Parker, Victoria Parker; several nieces and nephews; and best friend, Alfred Pedigo.
Funeral service was held Thursday, September 7, 2023 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Johnny Adcock and Bro. Michael Hale officiating and burial followed in Spring Hill Cemetery in Walling, Tn.
Pallbearers were Richard Crass, Daniel McAvoy, Rodney Scoggins, Jessie Adcock, Justin Adcock, Richard Young, Daniel Taylor, Preston Moore, and Tyler Duncan. Honorary pallbearers included Alfred Pedigo, Mark Taylor, Reed Johnson, Alvin Johnson, Billy Nation, and Kizher McAvoy.
In addition to flowers, donations may be made to Operation Christmas Child at Indian Creek Baptist Church or Bright Hill Church Music Fund.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was charge of arrangements.
