Walker

Carnell Walker, age 95, of Dowelltown passed away Wednesday night, May 11, 2016 at NHC Healthcare in Smithville, TN.  She was born November 8, 1920 to the late William and Orie Oakley Bratten.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Walker was preceded in death by her husband, Delton Walker and two brothers, Frank (Betty) Bratten and Daws Bratten and three sisters, Irene (Dawson) Colwell, Ollie (Elmer Lee) Cripps and Catherine (Sydney) Harpe.  

She was a retired shirt factory worker and member of Pisgah United Methodist Church.  Funeral Services were held Saturday at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bro. Lee Neal officiated with burial following in the Whorton Springs Cemetery.

Survivors include nephews Freddie (Linda) Cripps, Hugh (Patsy) Cripps, Wayne (Peggy) Harpe, Joe (Joyce) Colwell, Timmy (Hilda) Cripps; and nieces Ruth Ann (Paul) Kemp, Wanda Whited, Frankie Myrick, Faye Hankins, Barbara Via, Alma Dean Whited, Margie Whited, Sheryn (Horace) Temple, Adell (Randy) Estes; and sister in law Arnie Bratten.

Pallbearers: Grant Williams, Jeff Hawker, Anthony Cripps, Chris Knott, Gill Fox, and Wayne Harpe.

DeKalb Funeral Chapel, was in charge of the arrangements.
