Carol Lee Allen Brown, 52, of Smithville passed away Saturday, March 31 at her residence. 

She was born August 4, 1965 to her parents, the late Earl and Sandra Lee Allen. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Lee Brown. Carol worked at Patty’s Restaurant. 

Survivors include two children, Lonnie JB (Jessica Lane) Brown and Shanna Brown (David Amberson), both of Smithville; five grandchildren, Lilly Anne Brown, Weslin McCowan, Jayden McCowan, Rebecca Lee Brown, and Isaac Rain Magouirk; three sisters, Claudette Caldwell and Donna Greer, both of Smithville and Tina Fay Parks of Gainesboro; two brothers, Steve Allen and Earl Allen, Jr. both of Gainesboro; stepmother, Debbie Allen of the Dodson Branch community. 

A graveside service and interment was held Monday, April 9 at DeKalb Cemetery with Junior Shepherd and Steve Allen officiating. Serving as pallbearers were J.W. Brown, Dustin Brown, Carl Cantrell, Isaac Magourik, and Lonnie JB Brown.

DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
