Funeral services for Carol Sue Colwell, 53, of Smithville were held April 11 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bro. Lash Rice and Jason Rice officiated, with burial following at Bluff Springs Cemetery.She passed away April 7 at DeKalb Community Hospital.She was the daughter of the late Walter Franklin and Wilma Powers Blair.In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lillard Colwell.Sue was a member of Gath Baptist Church, and was employed at Tenneco Automotive and Pace Setters.She is survived by four children; Johnny Colwell of Florida, Greg Hays of Murfreesboro, Tiffany Boren of Smithville and Chesney Colwell of Chattanooga; 10 grandchildren; mother, Wilma Blair of Smithville; two brothers, Randy Blair of Buena Vista and Freddy Blair of Smithville.Pallbearers included; Wesley Blair, Jeremy Colwell, Ethan Powers, Josh Blair, Brandon Dillion and Tony “Cully” Culwell.Honorary Pallbearers; Grandsons Joey Burgess, Jeremy Boren, Justin Boren, Gregory Hays, and Hunter Hays.DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of arrangements.SMITHVILLE REVIEWSmithville, TNApril 16, 2014
