Our sweet angel, Carolyn Dorothy Walden of Alexandria, was born August 30, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan.
She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy Schmidt.
She departed this life on Thursday July 4, 2019 with family by her side in Buford, Georgia at 81 years young. She had a sweet spirit. Her infectious charm, smile, and humor were witnessed by all who knew her. Carol and Jim relocated from Michigan to Tennessee in 1985 where she enjoyed her church, clubs, working for the city of Alexandria – and especially as librarian.
Carolyn was preceded in death by the love of her life for 45 years, James Albert Walden, and her sisters Emily Scislowicz and Joann Leonetti and brothers Fredrick and Donald Schmidt.
Carolyn leaves behind to cherish her life, nephews Thomas, William, and Timothy Scislowicz, Frederick Schmidt, Andre’ and Stevan Leonetti and nieces Dorothy Miller, Lynette Hessel, Tammy Thom, Janice Beckett, Marisa Bellas, Tracy Myers, Vonda Winkie, Suzanne Huard, Donna Moore, and Annette Giancarli and her brother and sister in laws.
Funeral service will be conducted Thursday, July 11, 2019 at 11 am in the chapel of Anderson Funeral Home. Bro. Ronnie Smith will officiate and burial will follow in Salem Cemetery.
