Charles Travis West age 28 of Crossville, a former resident of Smithville and native of Smith County passed away Friday night, October 7, 2016 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. 

He was born April 13, 1988 to his parents, Charles "Chuck" West and the late Sandra Faye Kennedy West. 

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jason West.  He worked in food service. 

Survivors include his father, Charles "Chuck" West of Smithville; 1 daughter, Daveah West of Crossville; 1 sister, Shauna West of Smithville; 1 half-brother, Daniel Shehane of Lebanon and special longtime friend, Randi Atnip. 

Graveside services were conducted Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Dickens Cemetery in the Maggart Community of Smith County. Bro. Michael Hale officiated. 

Family and friends met at the cemetery for the graveside service.

Pallbearers included: Brad Cook, Brandon Tucker, Shannon Herman, Mark Fish, Jr., Jimmy West and John Rice.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses.

DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
