Funeral services for Christene M. Adamson, 85, of Liberty were held Oct. 11 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Elders Charles Allen Gentry and Dewey Dyer officiated with burial in Salem Cemetery in Liberty. A Eastern Star service was also held on Oct.10.Mrs. Adamson passed way on Oct.9 at DeKalb Community Hospital.She was a retired U.S. Postmaster, a member of Cave Springs Missionary Baptist Church and 50-year member of the O.E.S. #488.Mrs. Adamson was preceded in death by parents, F.A. and Thelma Adamson Mathis, and husband of 59 years, Robert Adamson.She is survived by two sons; Don Adamson of Liberty and Danny Adamson of Murfreesboro; two grandchildren, Derek Kevin (Amanda) Adamson of Knoxville and Malea (Eric) Thompson of Thompson Station; brother, Medford (Elese) Mathis of Watertown; caregivers, Vickie Hobbs and Lacusta Bellamy.Pallbearers; Russell Estes, Kenneth Ray Mullinax, George McGraw, Gary Mathis, David Johnson, Van Mathis.DeKalb Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of arrangements.SMITHVILLE REVIEWSmithville, TNOctober 16, 2013
