Memorial services for Christy Lynn Herring, 27, of Smithville were held May 13 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bro. Bernard Houk officiated. 
Ms. Herring passed away May 11 at her residence. She was a salesperson and attended Mt. Pisgah Freewill Baptist Church. 
She was preceded in death by her father, Greg Mitchell Herring.
Survivors include her mother and step-father, Lisa and Wayne Merritt of Smithville; sister, Callie Howell of Smithville; brother, Wyatt Alsdorf of Fla.; grandparents, Roger and Polly Curtis of Fla., Jenny and Pops Alsdorf of Fla., and Sue Merritt of McMinnville.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, LLC, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
