Funeral services for Clara Nell Cantrell, 85, of Smithville, were held Oct. 18 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bro. Michael Hale, Bro. Mike Neal and Bro. Dick Scott-Welch officiated with burial following in Keltonburg Cemetery.   
Ms. Cantrell passed away Oct. 17 at DeKalb Community Hospital. She was affiliated with Keltonburg United Methodist Church and worked at Wright’s Grocery and Fuston’s 5 & 10.
 She was preceded in death by her parents, William Thomas and Della Miller  Cantrell and brothers and sisters, Fred Cantrell, Aubrey Cantrell, Frank “Chick” Cantrell, James “T” Cantrell, Cartie Patton, Mattie Lee Stoner, Lela Mae Rigsby, Shelby Cripps and Helen Cantrell.
Survivors include a sister, Jean Haley, of Smithville; nieces, Jane (J.E.) Young, of Smyrna, Billie (Billy Ray) Judkins, of Donelson, and Jean Patton, of Smithville; and nephews, Phillip Stoner and Eugen (Diane) Haley, both of Smithville. Several great-nieces and nephews and great-great- nieces and nephews also survive.
Pallbearers included Jeff Young, Steve Young, Joe Adcock, Clark Adcock, Dennis Arnold and Brock Young.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
