A Celebration of Life for Mr. Clarence Bilbrey, 88, of Smithville was conducted on January 13 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel.

 

Bro. Bernard Houk officiated. Graveside services was conducted at Harris Chapel Cemetery in Rickman.

 

Mr. Clarence passed away January 9 at his residence.

 

He was born May 1, 1927 to his parents, Fletcher and Lula Walker Bilbrey.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael David Bilbrey; six brothers, Thurman, Luther, Clyde, Haskell, Fred, and Dewey Bilbrey; one sister, Edna Short.

 

Clarence was a member of the Smithville First Freewill Baptist Church and a self- employed construction worker.

 

He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Cola Dean Bilbrey of Smithville; Daughter, June Bilbrey (Bill) Benson of Smithville; Son, Mark (Karen) Bilbrey of Florida; Grandchildren, Franklin (Jenny) Baker, Robin Baker, Jeremy Bilbrey, Brandi Bathon, Dusin Bilbrey, B.J. Bilbrey; one sister, Ethel Blaylock; one brother, Roy Bilbrey; 11 Great-Grandchildren; three Great-Great-Grandchildren.

 

In addition to flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Smithville First Freewill Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.

 

 

 

Pall Bearers; Franklin Baker, Dustin Bilbrey, BJ Bilbrey, Jeremy Bilbrey, Dallas Denison, and Curtis Denison.

 

 

 

DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville was in charge of the arrangements.
