Funeral services for Mr. Clarence Royce Neely, 81, of Smithville were held January 15 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel.

 

Bro. Bobby Thomason officiated with burial following in Keltonburg Cemetery. A Masonic Service was conducted on January 14 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel.

 

He passed away January 12, 2016 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

 

He was born November 11, 1934 to his parents, the late Wallace Neely and Elsie Patton Neely Bell.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Thelma Cope, Christine Cantrell and Dorothy Jean Adcock; two great-grandchildren, Peanut Scott and Jeffrey Pasley.

 

Mr. Clarence was a faithful member of Covenant Baptist Church where he served as Choir Director, a Garment Factory Executive, was in the Tennessee National Guard for 12 years, a Mason and member of Liberty Lodge #77, a Scottish Rite, and a Shriner.

 

He is survived by his wife of 62 ½ years, Walteen Neely of Smithville; son, Kevin Royce (Roxanna) Neely of Smithville; six grandchildren, Matthew Royce Neely, Erica Denise Neely, Jeremiah Joseph Pasley, Tabitha Marie Pasley, Jeffrey Daryl Pasley and Matthew Allen Pasley; eight great-grandchildren, Malachi Royce Neely, Jericho Zachariah Neely, Jeremy Scott Fink, Dominic Leon Pasley, Landon Pasley, Miah Pasley, Elijah Scott, Sideny Scott, Skylar Scott; one brother, Bryan (JoAnn) Neely of Mcminnville; two sisters, Vivian Vickers of Cookeville and Karen (Vernon) Goines of Manchester.

 

 

 

In addition to flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Shriners Children Hospital.

 

 

 

DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville was in charge of the arrangements.
