Clayton Pack

Clayton Pack, age 74, of Dowelltown and a former resident of Michigan, passed away Wednesday morning, June 17, 2020 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro. 

 A son of a coal miner, Clayton was a Baptist and was self-employed. 

 He was born April 28, 1946 to his parents, the late Arbit and Mary Cox Pack.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 11 siblings, Phyllis McCaig, Malda Marcum, Exlee Moore, Vaudney Pack, Eddie Pack, Homer Pack, Roger Pack, Joan Begley, Lonnie Pack, Odell Pack and Jennings Pack. 

 He is survived by one daughter, Denise (Freddy) Blair of Dowelltown; three grandchildren, Stephanie (Hunter) Angel, Heather Page and Steven Page; three great-grandchildren, Addison Curtis, Kallen Curtis and Gunner Angel; one sister, Hazel Marcum of Detroit, MI and several nieces and nephews also survive. 

 The family has chosen a direct cremation and a service will be held in West Virginia at a later date. 

 DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
