Wanda Pryor Collins, 93, of Nashville passed away Dec. 15 at DeKalb Community Hospital in Smithville.

"Miss Wanda" was a resident of the Webb House (Phoenix Wing) for the past 18 months.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. C.V. Collins of Nashville and all of her eight siblings.

She is survived by her children, Elizabeth (Sunny) Collins of Eugene, Oregon, Kathe Reed (Bryan) Nelson of Smithville, Susan Alexander of Austin, Texas, and Joel (Melissa) Collins of Nashville, 13 grandchildren, Alicia, Skipper, Mira, Aladdin, Karen, Donna, Miraya, Casimir, Katie, Ramona, Jesse, Chris, and Anthony; 20 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Mrs. Collins has chosen direct cremation without visitation.

A Memorial service will be planned in her hometown of Woodbury, Georgia in the spring of 2015.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
