Collins

Marcelle "Doris" Collins, 86, of Fort Lauderdale Florida had passed away on January 6, 2015 at the Holy Cross Catholic Hospice Care.

She was born November 15, 1928 in Lawrence, Mass.

She fought a long battle with a life threatening illness.

She moved to South Florida in 1968 and would retire after a career with Motorola in Plantation, Florida. She lived a short time in Smithville with her mother and attended St. Gregory’s Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George Lavigne and Armosa Dubois Lavigne of Lawrence, Mass, a sister, Maria Gloria Henderson and a daughter, Dorothy Marie Collins.

Survivors include her children: Daughters, Patricia Wilt and Margaret Collins and sons, David John and Joseph Paul, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and nieces and a nephew.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Doris was an avid reader, so any donations may be made to your local public library in her memory.
