Funeral services for Comer Bratcher, 76, of Smithville were held Feb. 17 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bro. Donnie Kelly officiated with burial following at Banks Cemetery.He passed away Feb.14 at his residence.He was a farmer.He was born August 8, 1937 to his parents the late Euyl and Lela Lawson Bratcher.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Bratcher; mother-in-law, Louise Winchester; father-in-law, James Ernest Winchester, Sr.He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Janice Bratcher of Smithville; two daughters, Sherry Bowling and Stephanie (Robert) Myers both of Murfreesboro; three grandchildren, Zachary Bowling, Ashley Bowling and fiance Jon Slager, and Brinlee Myers; two step-granddaughters, Thessa Myers, and Maddie Myers; one great-grandson, Malachi Bowling; three sisters, Edith (Willus) Roberts of McMinnville, Earlene (R.L.) Redmon of Smithville, Frances (Kenneth) Waggoner of Smithville; one brother, Harold (Dorothy) Bratcher of Smithville; several nieces and nephews also survive.Pallbearers included; Amon Cantrell, Jon Slager, Jim Judkins, Allen England, David Kilgore, Mark Pedigo, and Miguel Godinez.DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of arrangements.SMITHVILLE REVIEWSmithville, TNFebruary 19, 2014
