Funeral services for Leighanne Cripps, 37, of Smithville were held Dec. 31 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel.

 

Bro. Michael Hale officiated, with burial following in DeKalb Cemetery.

 

She passed away at her residence Jan. 4.

 

She was born August 25, 1977 to Ernie Beasley and Remega Nelson.

 

She was preceded in death by her sister, Michelle Beasley.

 

She was a Methodist.

 

Survivors include her husband, Greg Cripps of Smithville; one daughter, Madison Cripps of Smithville; mother, Remega (Kelly) Nelson of Chattanooga; father, Ernie (Peggy) Beasley of Baxter; step-father, Nicky Reece of McMinnville; two brothers, Ethan Beasley of Baxter and Nick Reece of McMinnville; grandparents, Lois (Ted) Rigsby of McMinnville, Mary Haferty of Ohio; mother-in-law, Linda (Nelson) Caldwell of Smithville; brothers-in-law, Jason Cripps and Tyler Caldwell both of Smithville; sister-in-law, Abbey Caldwell of Smithville.

 

Pallbearers included Tyler Caldwell, Jason Cripps, Eddie Caldwell, Nelson Caldwell, Jacob Cripps, and Evan Cripps.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses, in memory of Leighanne.
