Funeral services for Julia Imogene "Jean" Crook, 82, of Alexandria were held Jan. 10 at the Chapel of Anderson Funeral Home. Bro. Micheal Curtis, Jerry Young and Curtis Young officiated, with burial following in Dismal Cemetery.

 

She passed away December 31 at her residence.

 

She was born February 25, 1932 to the late Shelton Lee Curtis and Martha Mattie Malone.

 

She attended Peoples Missionary Baptist Church.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy Lee Crook; son, Roy Wayne Crook; nephew, Gary Curtis.

 

She is survived by brothers and sisters, Joe (Bertha) Curtis of Florida, Nora (Joe) Young of Alexandria, and Doyle (Margaret) Curtis of Liberty; special friends, Tony. Janet, Cody, and Dustin Griffith; several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews also survive.

 

Anderson Funeral Home, Alexandria was in charge of the arrangements
