Memorial services for Danny Cantrell, 51, of Smithville, were held Dec. 17 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bro. B.J. Thomason officiated.  
Mr. Cantrell passed away Dec. 14 at DeKalb Community Hospital. He was disabled. 
 He was preceded in death by his mother, Ella Dean Turner Cantrell.
Survivors include his two children, Bryan (Mary) Cantrell, of Smithville, and Heather (Caleb) Shehane, of McMinnville; three grandchildren, Braxton Bryan Cantrell, Preston Lee Cantrell and Eli Parker Cantrell; father and step-mother, Frank and Neodia Cantrell, of Smithville; a brother, Dwight Cantrell, of Cold Springs; and a step-brother, Donald Cantrell, of Dowelltown. Several aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
