David Hugh Redmon, age 78, of Smithville passed away Tuesday September 27, 2022 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital.

Mr. Redmon was a member of Spring Street The Baptist Church and worked as Utility Contractor. David enjoyed working and being on his backhoe and fishing.

He was born May 6, 1944 to his parents, the late John Peter "Doc" and Lou Verna West Redmon. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by step-son, Kyle Robinson; uncle, Don Redmon.

He is survived by wife, Patricia Redmon of Smithville; daughter, Kim Taylor of Lebanon; step-sons, Mark (Shawnn) Robinson, and Kevin Robinson of Smithville; grandchildren, Kristie Taylor and fiancé Kris Harris, Tre Taylor and fiancé Taylor Greer and Maggie Robinson; great-grandchild, Pasleigh Taylor Harris; sister, Linda (Jimmy) Crawford of Smithville; brother, Donnie (Cindy) Redmon of McMinnville; several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces also survive.

Funeral service was held Friday, September 30, 2022 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Dwight Knowles and Bro. David Frazier officiating. Burial followed in DeKalb Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers included Bo McCraken, Daniel Seber, Brandon Taylor, Larry Reed, Joe Johnson, and Ronnie Lockhart. Honorary pallbearers were RJ Bain, Dwayne Redmon, Logan Hullet, Forrest Reeder, and John Kilgore.

DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of arrangements.
