Mr. David Leon "Boxie" Foutch age 75 of Smithville, passed away Sunday morning at his residence.

 

He was born March 29, 1941 to his parents, the late John Thomas and Lorene Thurman Foutch. 

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers-in-law, Jack Bond, Howard Parsely and Chester Parsley; 1 sister-in-law, Lorell Hobson. 

 

David was a member of the Smithville Church of Christ and served as DeKalb County Court Clerk for 8 years. 

 

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Linda Sue Foutch of Smithville; 1 brother, Glen (Lois) Foutch of Smyrna; 1 sister, Anna Jean Bond of McMinnville; 2 nieces and 2 nephews; 6 great-nieces and nephews; 1 sister-in-law, Peggy Johnson of Smithville.

 

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bro. Dan Gulley officiated with interment following in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. 

 

Pallbearers included: Steve Cooper, Todd Foutch, Tim Richardson, Allen Richardson, Jeff Bond, and Hugh Don Cripps.

 

 

 

DeKalb Funeral Chapel, was in charge of the arrangements.
