David R. Turner "Pay Day", 48, of the Pea Ridge Community died Tuesday, October 24, 2016 at his residence in Pea Ridge. He was a Pentecostal.

The funeral was held Thursday, October 27, 2016 at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Glenn Chapman officiated. Burial followed in the Mt. Ararat Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray Donald Murphy and Cleta Jo Horn; and a brother, Darrell Wayne Murphy. Survivors include a son, Joshua Johnson and fiancé Whitney Murphy of Woodbury. One grandson, Landon Johnson of Woodbury. Three sisters, Diane and Richard Ervin of Smithville, JoAnn and Teddy Johnson of Woodbury, and Darlene Jackson of Smithville. Several nieces and nephews survive.

Pallbearers included: Josh and Jeffrey Johnson, Jerry and Austin Estes, Billy Griffith, and Thomas George.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to help with funeral expenses.

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, was in charge of the arrangements.
