Funeral services for David Ray Davenport, 60, of Liberty, were held March 3 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bro. Tim Pack and Bro. Tim Pelham officiated with burial following in Sycamore Cemetery.
Mr. Davenport passed away Feb. 29 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. He was a truck driver for H&D Trucking and was affiliated with Sycamore Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Vess Davenport.
Survivors include his wife, Jan Davenport; a daughter, Lindsey Davenport; a grandson, Preslee Davenport Merriman, all of Liberty; mother, Magline Davenport of Gassaway; four sisters, Brenda (David) Dodd of Gassaway, Darlene (Mark) Gilliam of Lebanon, Regina (Stephen) Mayo of Bradyville and Pam Duggin of Gassaway; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers included Wayne Harper, Chris Bogle, Eric Bogle, Dennis Jenkins, Teddy George, Harmon Yokley, Red Young, Kenneth Derting, and Dwayne Ashford.
Serving as honorary pallbearers were David and John Dodd, Stephen and Dale Mayo, Jacob and Austin Duggin, Derrick Cooper, Mark Gilliam and David Gaither.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
