David Wayne Roach, age 65

David Wayne Roach age 65 of Smithville passed away Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the V.A. Hospital in Nashville.  He was born January 19, 1950 to his parents, the late Oscar Alonzo and Marion Yvonne Wright Roach.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, April Patterson; brother, Glendon Roach and sister, Brenda Barnes.  David was a U.S. Army Veteran, member of Webb's Chapel United Methodist Church, he was a lay minister and a carpenter.  He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Pam Roach of Smithville; son, David Nathan (Misty) Roach of Baxter; 7 grandchildren, Emily, Brianna, Chelsea and Allison Roach, Danielle, Justin and Josh Patterson; 1 brother, Donald (Janet) Roach of Panama City, FL; 1 sister, Belinda Kenny of Mobile, AL and mother-in-law, Gail Bishop of Smithville.  Celebration of David's life will be held 2:PM Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Phil Tollett and Bro. Isaac Gray officiating.  Interment will be in the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery with Military Honors on Thursday at 11:AM.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses.  Visitation will be Wednesday 11:AM until the time of the service at 2:PM.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
