Delores Irene Jones, age 86, of Smithville, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2020 at NHC HealthCare Center in Smithville. 

She was born July 9, 1933 to her parents, the late Everett and Gertrude Doran Allsop.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Richard Jones; son, Charles V. Jones; siblings, Junior Allsop, William Allsop, Joseph Allsop, Ruby Dunaway and Sweed Allsop. 

Ms. Delores was a homemaker and a member of the Dry Creek Baptist Church. 

She leaves to cherish her memory two children, Richard Reed Jones of Crossville and Janet (Kevin) Felts of Tullahoma; one grandson, Trent Jones of Knoxville; one great-granddaughter, Nora Jones; one sister, Helen Spicer of Prescott Valley, AZ. 

The family chose a direct cremation and a memorial service was held Sunday, July 19, 2020 at the Dry Creek Baptist Church with Bro. Donald Owens officiating.  

DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
