Memorial services were held for Derrick Ray Johnson-Mashburn, on Aug. 17 at the home of his parents at 107 Circle Dr., Dowelltown. Burial was held at Hale Cemetery. Derrick Ray Johnson-Mashburn was born on and died on Aug. 9, 2011 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center.He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Marvin Pittard; grandmother, Joann Mashburn; great-grandparents, Earnest Mashburn, Ed Johnson and Luree Johnson.Derrick is survived by his parents, Fairy Johnson and Ray Mashburn; brothers and sisters, Brian and Christopher Johnson, Alyssa Mashburn, and twin brother, Erick Mashburn all of Dowelltown and Noel Mashburn of Kan.; grandparents, Bobby Johnson of Cookeville, Kathy Johnson of Smithville, Junior and Peanut Mashburn of Dowelltown; great-grandparents, Carmine Bain of Smithville and Mildred Mashburn of Ala.; aunts and uncles, Mary Johnson and Jamie Barrett of Woodbury, Mark Johnson and Kayla Conners of Cookeville, Lisa Moody and Jimmy Robinson of Woodbury, Rachel Spurlock of Woodbury, Bobby Mashburn of Murfreesboro, Joel Mashburn of Whiteville, Brenda and David Fulton of Colo. and Joseph Spurlock of Smithville.
