Donna Sue Braswell Lawson, age 77, passed away Friday morning, at her home in Dowelltown. 

 Mrs. Lawson was a member of the Pentecostal Church and worked at DeKalb County Bank for 22 years and was a Homemaker.

 She was born October 19, 1943 to her parents the late, Johnny Austin and Maggie Braswell. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sisters, Faye Smith and Sandra Houk.

 She is survived by her husband, Tony Lawson of Dowelltown; daughter, Teresa (Brad) Murphy of Sparta; grandchildren, Logan (Angela) Murphy of Smithville, Tanya Murphy of Sparta, Elijah (Reba) Murphy of Sparta, Zachariah (Lindsey) Murphy of Sparta, Andrew (Brianna) Murphy of Sparta; great-grandchildren, Emma and Lena Murphy of Smithville and Eli Houchin of Sparta; brother, James (Ruth) Pirtle of Smithville; father and mother-in-law, Toy and Faye Lawson of Liberty; nephews, Anthony Adcock and Danny (Melissa) Pirtle; niece, Judy Pirtle Hale; brother-in-law, Gary Lawson; sisters-in-law, Wanda Duggin, Patsy Whitaker and Rachel (Phillip) Bandy; several nieces and nephews also survive.

 Funeral service was held Sunday, September, 12, 2021 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Zachariah Murphy and Bro. Toy Lawson officiating. Burial followed in Keith Cemetery.

 Pallbearers included Logan Murphy, Elijah Murphy, Zach Murphy, Eli Houchin, Andrew Murphy, Darren Murphy, and Bryan Murphy.

 DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of arrangements.
