DeleteFuneral services for Douglas V. Chapman, 57, of Smithville were held April 21 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bro. Bobby Thomason officiated with burial following at Jefferson Cemetery.
Mr. Chapman passed away April 18 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was a factory worker and member of Dowelltown Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Chapman and Alma Thomason Chapman.
Survivors include his wife, Penny Chapman of Smithville; son Eric (Jennifer) Chapman of Smithville; daughter, Chasity Chapman of Alexandria; step-daughter, Kelsey Eller of Smtihville; two sisters, Terry (Tom) Sklenka of Liberty and Donna (Wayne) Grandstaff of Liberty; seven brothers, Kenneth (Elaine) Chapman of Lebanon, Paul (Carol) Chapman of Woodbury, Tommy (Kathy) Chapman of Lebanon, Winton (Angie) Chapman of Murfreesboro, Claude (Anita) Chapman of Gassaway, Bruce (Kathy) Chapman of Liberty, Danny (Linda) Chapman of Smithville; three grandchildren, Whitleigh Chapman, Carrigan Chapman, Rheagan Chapman; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Pallbearers included Chris Chapman, Daniel Sklenka, Michael Bain, Chris Chapman, Jason Chapman, and Darrell Crook.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, LLC, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
