Funeral services for Dr. Scott Wheeler, 42, of Smithville were held Dec. 30, at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. Larry Green officiated, with burial following at DeKalb Memorial Gardens.He passed away Dec. 27 at DeKalb Community Hospital.He was owner/operator of Wheeler Veterinary Clinic, affiliated with Smithville Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, T.C. Wheeler and Marie Fuson; maternal grandparents, J.P. and Elizabeth Sullivan.He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Kim Wheeler; two children, Robert and David Wheeler, all of Smithville; parents, Marvin and Leslie Wheeler of Auburntown, and Linda and Jeff Cook of Smithville; one brother, Stacey Wheeler of Auburntown; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive.Pallbearers included; Bert Driver, Greg Driver, Billy Miller, Scott Brown, Jeff Tramel and Trent Colwell.
