Mabe

Eddie Mabe age 57 of Smithville, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2016 at his residence. 

He was born July 14, 1959 to his parents, the late Jewel and Guynell Douglas Mabe. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 sister, Carol Looney; 3 aunts, Pauline Billings, Wilma Gilliam and Marcella Shaver; 2 uncles, Dexter Mabe and Ruel Douglas.  Eddie was a Paramedic and attended the Smithville Church of God. 

Survivors include 1 sister, Glenda Staley of Smithville; 2 nieces, Tina Rowland and Lee Ann Williams both of Smithville; 2 nephews, Don and Jimmy Crips both of Marietta, GA; 4 aunts, Louise Cantrell of Smithville, Linda (Gene) Jones of Sparta, Marie Mabe of McMinnville and Jo Ann Wrenn of Boaz, AL; 2 uncles, Carlon (Jeanette) Mabe of Smithville and Donald Douglas of Eva, AL; several great-nephews and nieces and cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, December 12, 2016 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel.

 Bro. Chris Moore officiated with burial to following in DeKalb Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers included; Zack Rowland, Hunter Williams, Caleb Williams, Mike Williams, Hoyte Hale, and Trent Phipps.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expensesDeKalb Funeral Chapel, was in charge of the arrangements.
